An Altar Server's Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for calling me to serve You at Your Holy Altar. During the celebration of the Eucharist I know that the priest takes Your place when, together with your People and in the name of the Church, he makes present again Your Passion, Death and Resurrection. Help me to carry out my role with prayerful dignity and participation in this memorial of the Last Supper. Let me remain close to you on earth that one day I may share in Your glory. Amen.

1. All servers must have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Penance, and Holy Communion.
2. Servers also must be practicing Catholics who attend Catholic Mass.
3. Servers will be placed on a schedule that will be subject to change.
4. Server schedules can be found in our bulletin or on the website
5. Servers should always be neatly attired.
6. Boys are to wear black shoes.
7. Girls should NOT wear high heeled shoes. NO OPEN TOED SHOES.
8. Liturgical dress for boys is the Roman Cassock and for girls is the Alb.
9. Serving Funeral Masses during the week is something requested but is limited to servers in the 6th, 7th & 8th grades. The assignment of servers will depend on academic performance.
10. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SIGN IN on both the sheet in the main Sacristy.
11. If you cannot make it to your assigned Mass call another server and see if you can swap masses with them or ask someone who is off to serve for you.
12. To serve in the sanctuary is a privilege and a wonderful way to participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I thank you for your service and appreciate your cooperation.

All Altar Servers are reminded to please inform Eddie of what size cassock or alb they are. There will be a paper in the Altar Server side of the Sacristy for them to write sizes.
